Sunray in Flatout 2

Sunray is a Street Class car in FlatOut 2 and FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage.

It is an average tuner car in the style of a 2006 Saturn Ion with the greenhouse area of a 2-door Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) modified with a roof scoop, body kit, eyelid headlights and a carbon fiber hood and spoiler. It features a badge located in the front fascia, which reads JR-T, in the style of the Nissan GT-R logo.

The Sunray has the handling of a modified FF car, which means it has heavy understeer at high speeds, but is generally easy to control at low speeds. However, it's top speed leaves something to be desired at its tier. It boasts average nitro boost and strength. The Sunray can be used effectively in both races and derbies.

The Sunray has been somewhat changed in Flatout Ultimate Carnage. It boasts relatively higher top speed and has become heavier. It sports different rims and eyelids in this version. As a result of the changes, it is a better contender in general.

It is driven by Jack Benton in the Street races.

Trivia[]

  • It appears to have a Japanese licence plate, a nod to the fact it is a tuner car.
    • But the license plate itself is yellow which is strange consider it usually designated for Kei car while the normal one is White where the Sunray should be.
  • It uses the same rim design as the Road King and the Rocket, as well as the Nucleon.
  • The Rocket is the stunt version of the Sunray.
  • Oddly enough, the Sunray is an FF car, unlike the AWD Nissan Skyline GT-R which the car is based on.
  • The engine is a very useful, high revving, but dangerous V6, since the car has FWD traction.
  • It's license plate, SDK 205, could stand for SHORT DICK or Software Development Kit, either way, 205 is a term used to describe old subjects that are introduced as if new.
